How to Read a Multiplication Chart, Step by Step
Here are easy steps to follow
- Select two numbers you want to multiply them
- From the left-hand column, find the number at first
- From the top row , find the number at second
- Find your answer by following the row and column to that point they meet. That’s the answer.
For Example: 8 × 6 → Row 8 + Column 6 → joining point is the answer 48.

History of the Multiplication Chart
